Those Who Never Made It Home

To those who never made it home,

A flag on a casket not to be flown,

Hands are raised in a final salute,

Dog tags hang from a rifle and boots,

Places at tables are set never to be filled,

By those who bravely in action were killed,

To those who never made it home,

Who saved lives and gave their own,

They answered the call,

And some gave all,

When Taps are played,

To rest they are laid,

To those who never made it home,

Who now sit at the foot of His throne,

Look after those that carry our flag,

Protect the good from the bad,

Your sacrifice we will not forget,

Thank you all, we are in your debt.
